Residential Painting: Transform Your Home in Days, Not Months

Expert bathroom transformations throughout North Texas

Paint does more than you think. The colors on your walls change how your home feels the second you walk through the door,
affecting whether rooms feel cramped or open, fresh or neglected, yours or still wearing the builder’s generic beige.

Art Smart has been painting North Texas homes for over 17 years, completing thousands of rooms in hundreds of houses.
Every job has taught us something about what homeowners love and what they’re cursing six months down the road.

Why That Perfect Gray Looks Purple in Your Bedroom

Paint colors lie. That gorgeous gray on the sample card?
It’ll look completely different on your actual wall. Light rewrites the rules every single time.

Bobby doesn’t dump a deck with 4,000 color chips on your kitchen table and say “good luck.” That’s paralyzing, not helpful. Instead, we narrow your choices based on real factors.

Which direction do your windows face? When do you use each room most? What furniture stays? Do you want energy or calm when you walk in?

Then we test three colors max on your actual walls.
Big sections, not tiny samples. You watch them change throughout the day.

Morning light washes colors out differently than afternoon sun hitting at an angle. North-facing rooms stay cooler and darker. South-facing rooms flood with warmth.

This front-end work takes time. It prevents the disaster of painting everything, stepping back, and realizing you hate it. We’ve watched too many homeowners stare at “Agreeable Gray” that turned lavender in their light, or “Swiss Coffee” that looks dingy next to their bright white trim. Bobby’s seen every lighting trick paint can pull because he’s been doing this for over 17 years.

Smart color selection ignores trends completely. It’s about understanding how your specific home’s light interacts with pigment.
We’ve done this enough times to steer you toward colors you’ll still love when everyone else has moved on from whatever HGTV is pushing this season.

Interior Painting That Actually Lasts

Our interior work focuses on preparation and quality application because most paint failures trace back to skipped prep work. We fill every hole and crack properly by actually filling them smooth, not just smearing spackle and calling it done. We sand what needs sanding, caulk gaps between trim and walls, and prime surfaces that demand it.

This prep takes longer than the painting itself, but it’s also what makes jobs last years instead of peeling in months.

We protect everything before starting by laying drop cloths on floors, covering furniture with plastic, and taping trim and fixtures. Your hardwood floors and grandmother’s antique dresser stay safe because Bobby’s careful and methodical when we’re working in your home while you’re living there.

We use quality paint instead of the bargain stuff that needs four coats and still looks streaky. Professional-grade materials cover right in two coats and handle cleaning without rubbing off, which means the cost difference is minimal but the result difference is massive.

Exterior Painting Protecting
Your Investment

We prep exterior surfaces thoroughly by power washing away dirt, mildew, and loose paint, then scraping any stubborn paint still hanging on. We sand rough patches smooth, prime bare wood properly, caulk gaps around windows and trim,
and repair damaged wood before covering it up.

Then we apply quality exterior paint made for Texas conditions that handles UV exposure without fading fast, expands and contracts with temperature swings without cracking, and repels moisture instead of soaking it up.

Application technique matters even more outside because we need to paint in proper weather conditions. We won’t paint when it’s too hot, too cold, or right before storms roll in, and we apply paint at the right thickness for real protection because too thin and it fails quickly, too thick and it doesn’t stick.

Exterior painting should protect your home seven to ten years minimum, and ours does because we prep and apply it right.

How We Work While You're Living There

You’re not moving out for paint because you’re living here during the work, so we make that as painless as possible. We tackle interior projects room by room so you still have usable space. We don’t paint your entire house at once and then leave you with nowhere to sit because we finish one area before touching another.

We clean up every single day before leaving, not just at the end. Paint supplies get organized, drop cloths get shaken outside,
and floors get swept because we’re not leaving your house looking like a tornado hit it for two weeks.
We protect your stuff carefully by moving furniture to room centers and covering it with multiple protection layers. We treat your home how we’d want ours treated.

We communicate constantly about timing so you know when we’re arriving, which rooms we’re hitting when, when you need to keep kids or pets away from wet paint, and when areas are dry enough to use. Bobby stays in regular contact so you always know what’s happening. Call us today, and get a free quote.
